Immigrant Eligibility Changes
Toolkit Overview
Starting October 1, 2026, some Health First Colorado members will be affected by new federal rules related to immigrant eligibility for Medicaid coverage. We know these changes may raise questions and concerns for the communities you serve. The materials below are designed to help partners, providers, and community organizations share clear, accurate information so members know what to expect and can take steps to stay covered.
Who May Be Affected
Some immigrants with these and other statuses may lose Health First Colorado coverage:
- Current refugees and asylees
- Humanitarian parole
- Certain survivors applying for protections
- Some other humanitarian immigration statuses
